Many people struggle with the idea of "acting as if"—especially when it comes to acting as if they already live a financially abundant life. This blog explores practical strategies and tools, including an incredible wealth expansion practice, to help you feel, act, and live as though you already possess the financial abundance you desire.
Often, people postpone happiness, self-worth, and gratitude for life until they reach a goal. This is especially common with financial goals: “I’ll be happy when…”, “I’ll spend more time with my family when…”, or “I’ll take my partner out when…”, usually tied to “when I have more money” or “when I have more time.”
But reality works from the inside out. To see change in the outer world, we must first change the inner world. We have to feel it before we see it.
1. Find Small Luxuries That Make You Feel Rich
These don’t have to break the bank. For example, sitting in a five-star hotel and enjoying a beautiful coffee, soaking in the surroundings, music, and service, can shift your feeling into one of richness. Even if staying the night isn’t affordable, the experience of simply being there with a coffee can bring about that sense of financial abundance.
2. Be Aware of the Language You Use
Your word is your wand. Saying things like “I can’t afford it” reflects scarce, limited thinking. Instead, try phrases like “I’m not prioritizing that right now,” or “How could I make that happen?” or “I don’t see the value in that.” These shift your mindset away from lack and into empowered decision-making based on values and priorities.
3. Start Acting Like Someone Who Already Has Money
This could mean practicing philanthropy, like tithing—giving away 10% to a cause you care about. It also involves taking control of your money. Managing your finances, making your money work for you, and showing up responsibly with money can create a massive identity shift. You move from feeling like money controls you to seeing yourself as someone in control of money.
EFT Tapping Script: Shifting from Scarcity to Wealth
To support this transformation, here’s an incredible wealth activation practice using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping. This self-applied acupressure method can help shift mindset and reality around money.
Setup Statement (Tap the side of your hand):
Even though I've tied my happiness to money, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
(Repeat 3 times.)
Tapping Points and Script:

Questioning and Softening the Beliefs:

-
Side of Eye: But is it true that I can only be happy when I have it?
-
Under Eye: What if I've been putting my joy on hold unnecessarily?
-

-
Chin: I'm open to the idea that happiness and money are not the same thing.
-
Collarbone: Maybe I can feel secure now, before the money arrives.
-
Under Arm: Maybe I can trust that money is coming and I don't have to suffer while I wait.
-
Top of Head: I'm allowed to feel good now, no matter what is in my bank account.
Creating a New Belief:
-
Eyebrow: What if happiness isn't in the money but in how I feel inside?
-
Side of Eye: What if I could start feeling abundance in simple ways today?
-
Under Eye: I'm open to shifting my energy around this.
-
Under Nose: I deserve to feel happy, safe, and supported now.
-
Chin: I choose to believe that money will flow more easily when I stop chasing it out of fear.
-
Collarbone: I'm building a life of emotional and financial abundance.
-
Under Arm: I'm safe to relax, to trust, and to enjoy the moment I'm in.
-
Top of Head: I have enough. I am enough. And more is on the way.
Take a deep belly breath… and exhale.
Check in with how you feel now around the belief that “I can’t be happy until I have more money.”
